Falling For Autumn

In an age when people are denied the most basic of human impulses to come together, love still finds a way. By eloping, they can escape the everyday to be intimate with each other and make memories that matter. For a shared moment, two lovers can forget the troubles of the outside world and be everything to each other.

When Sophie Darwin asked me if I would like to create a little film for a styled shoot with the talented Anna Renouf from Wonderlands I could not have said YES! quick enough. I met Sophie whilst we were capturing a wedding in June 2018, we instantly clicked and did not stop laughing all day. We have not worked together on a real wedding since (although we have however hung out many times whilst we watch our children argue with each other). Therefore I was very keen to work together again. I was also keen to test out my new Super 8 camera and record some genuine Super 8 footage.

I was blown away by the talent and skill of Anna at Wonderlands, her setup was beautiful. We aimed to capture the beauty of the Jersey coast as well as the beauty of two people in love with each other. It was also an opportunity to promote Jersey as an elopement destination. I tried to keep the edit quite raw to mirror that of the dunes on which we shot the film.

We submitted this styled shoot to the popular wedding blog Rock My Wedding. We are delighted that they will be featuring it at the end of May!
